This guy was told by CSEA it would take 3-4 MONTHS OF PAPERWORK, ETC., BY THE CSEA UNION TO HANDLE THIS NONSENSE to file a grievance to get approval to use his vacation time in essence because it was rejected. The summer will be over.

BUT at the drop of a hat, CSEA IS QUICK TO TAKE THE UNION DUES FOR A PART-TIME, $12 AN HOUR JOB--COLLEGE KIDS MAKE $12 AN HOUR.

EVEN WITH THOUSANDS OF PERMANENT JOBS WHICH ARE PURPOSEDLY, UNFILLED, the Governor has cut hours of TEMPORARY AND SEASONAL EMPLOYEES, and now the few PERMANENT EMPLOYEES CAN NOT USE THEIR TIME OFF (to do another job which he has done for years in the summer because he cannot make it on one job--because of OPERATIONAL REASONS

After 6 months working, the on-the-job training site manager of 2 years took a week vacation, and the assistant, a preschool teacher, just took a week vacation, BUT EVERYBODY ELSE CANNOT USE THEIR TIME BECAUSE OF OPERATIONAL REASONS AND TIME OFF IS DENIED BY THIS SITE MANAGER.

AND,

IF THE PERMANENT EMPLOYEES CANNOT USE THEIR TIME, I CANNOT BE CALLED TO WORK ON CALL 24/7 AND MY HOURS ARE LESS. I AM DOWN TO 20 HOURS A WEEK AND THE SITE MANAGER ENCOURAGES ME TO USE MY ACCRUED TIME--to go where with no money?
